Desire is a basic human experience, but we often experience conflicts of desire both psychologically and politically: from addiction to war. Conflicts are not resolved by privileging one desire as ‘better’ than another, but rather by integrating desires through reframing associated beliefs. This is a tributary video to no.6 in this series, on integration.
This is the 21st video in the Middle Way Philosophy introductory course.
Some suggested reflection questions:
1. Which kinds of desires do you most often experience as conflicting?
2. How could those desires be integrated?
