We are joined by the renowned economist and academic, Noreena Hertz. Noreena has been described by the Observer as ‘one of the world’s leading young thinkers’, she’s the author of several best-selling books including ‘The Silent Takeover: Global Capitalism and the death of democracy’ and The Debt Threat: How debt is destroying the developing world. She’s the Honorary Professor at the Centre for the Study of Decision-Making at University College London and is here to talk to us today about her latest book ‘Eyes Wide Open: How to make smart decisions in a confusing world’.

Brilliant! Noreena seems another demonstration to me that if we focus on judgement, and the conditions required to make adequate judgements, other important things will fall into place. I also especially resonated with her observation that the most apparently confident experts are the least reliable ones – the fragility of the dogmatist.
